The heavy duty Ham riser has worked out so well, I decided to order/modify a pre-fabricated unit to use as a desk riser…
Put together the new “desk riser” this morning – it is actually a minor mod to a “Closetmaid” stackable closet insert. Gets the job done and complements the one I fabricated to hold heavier stuff.
Note heavy duty plastic chair runs installed on the floor under desk today. Just finished putting them down.
Next up is to install that drawer setting on top of the foot stool underneath the desk. Its only held with 8 screws, so hope it holds up to “my kind of use”. Will try to take it easy on it, (and me).
Edited – first try didn’t work – will regroup then mark holes. 😉
At least this gets the Raspberry Pi’s and the Tinkerboard computer up off the desk.
That is my cheapo boom mic for the IC-7300 – it is a BM-800 condenser mic that cost less than $20, really quite a deal.
